The Manx Insurance Association (MIA) is supporting the Manx Solidarity Fund (MSF) which was set up in response to the COVID-19 emergency.

The MIA represents all authorised life assurance companies on the Island who share a common purpose which is to support the island during this unprecedented time. With the industry being one of the major employers on the Island, member companies are making their own individual contributions to the Fund.

MIA Chairperson Peter Kenny said: “The Manx Solidarity Fund is a fantastic initiative which will provide support to those most in need during the current crisis and its aftermath. We are proud to be supporting the Fund and on behalf of the MIA I would like to thank our members for their contributions.”

The Manx Solidarity Fund is a Manx-registered charitable trust set up last month by the community, with a mission to serve the community. Its Patron is His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney. For more details, to make a donation, apply for funding, or volunteer to help, go to www.manxsolidarityfund.com.

Melanie Kermeen, Director, Manx Solidarity Fund, said: “We are immensely thankful to the Manx Insurance Association for the support of its members. The Manx Solidarity Fund aims to deliver much-needed support to the individuals, charities and businesses on the Island who need it most. This can only be made possible thanks to the generosity of the Manx Insurance Association and our other donors. Together, we can address this challenge.”
